Pneumatic conveying of fishmeal
Customer needs
The customer needed a complete system for filling a silo with fishmeal. From the silo, the fishmeal had to be transported to a loading area approx. 120 meters away from the silo. The loading area was to be designed to load a truck with up to 10 tonnes/h.
The solution
PAM provided the total solution for this project. Most equipment was made of stainless steel and the loading area was designed to minimize dust from the loading process.
We designed a pneumatic transport system (dilute phase) to transport the fishmeal from the silo to a big loading unit. The loading unit included a large screw conveyor equipped with 6 loading bellows and a small vacuum system to remove dust from the loading process. The loading unit was programmed for sequential loading to ensure efficient and smooth loading throughout the length of the truck.
PAM supplied all mechanical and electrical equipment, including electrical cabinets and software/programming. Furthermore, we provided supervision for assembly and commissioning.
PAM helped us designing a new product suitable for our production and the collaboration was excellent all way through, PAM is a very flexible and competent partner to work with.
