Vacuum system for dust free unloading of big-bag
Customer needs
The customer had a request for a system made for dust free handling of powder additives being transported from Big-Bags into the production processes.
The solution
In close cooperation between our engineers from PAM and engineers from the customer, we designed a solution consisting of a Big-Bag stand, rotary valves, filters and a vacuum system to pneumatically convey the material from the big-bag.
In addition to the standard solution, PAM developed a feature working under vacuum to secure dust free handling of the product when the big-bag was connected and disconnected. With this solution the work environment was improved significantly, and furthermore the need for cleaning in the work area was reduced, with direct cost savings as a result.
PAM delivered the mechanical and electrical components for this project.
